If you gets lots of texts and often need to ‘file them away’ because they have useful info, then this site (ThumbCrowd) might be useful to you. It enables texts to be forwarded to an account on the site and then you can look them up later using a fast search engine. The site is simple, yet effective. I’ve found it useful as a kind of universal ‘note pad’ or ‘jotter’ for ideas, tasks, thoughts when out and about. Of course, I can take notes on my mobile, but I like the linkage with the web (via the store-and-search) as I find that I usually want to follow-up with ‘notes to self’ on my PC.
Another useful feature is Shared Tags. This enables an initial keyword in the saved texts to be nominated as a means to identify texts for the purposes of sharing them in a text pool with other users. For example, I set up a tag with my wife to share texts as a kind of shared shopping list. There is a wap interface, so the search engine is always accessible and it is also possible to subscribe to a shared tag using RSS (private links) or email alerts.
