Following on from my “Web 1.0″ lament, I have a simple question for operators. What have you done, or are you doing, to make it easy for Joe Average to publish content to the mobile web? Is this even an important question for an operator?

O2 offers a “publish your own mobile site” service on it’s O2 Active mobile portal in conjunction with a service provider called Peperonity. It’s quite easy to do, the features are quite limited but only takes a few mins to get going. The challenge is how to get other people to discover your mobile web pages ….
