At last we get to see what Apple has been doing to bring their design flare to mobile devices.
Fantastic UI - yes. Web-centric - yes. [2.0? - yes, it’s Safari browser!] iPod - yes. Sexy - yes.
Ticks in all the expected boxes. A large format screen will make the device useable: so obvious, yet so elusive. Some great little service innovations too, like enabling a user to see a list of all their voicemails and jump straight to any message. That neat trick (it’s an old one though, called “unified messaging” - remember that?) requires network intervention, so no wonder this device is only available via an operator.
No point in blabbing on about the obvious - the web is awash with iPhone commentaries.
The mobile is dead, long live the mobile!
